Following the first two successful editions of this initiative, which arose from the collaboration agreement signed with iF DESIGN in 2024, we are once again opening the call this year to select the outstanding design projects by EIDE professionals, companies and educational centres. These projects will automatically and free of charge become finalists for the iF DESIGN AWARD 2027.
In the 2026 edition of these prestigious awards, the excellence of 21 projects from the Basque Country and Navarre was recognised, 14 of which were from the association’s professional and design firms: Niessen (which won a Gold Award), Nacar, bigD, Orbea, Salto, dot and Taqta. Along with the winners from the previous edition, 30 projects from our territory have been awarded over the last two years, figures that support and showcase the quality of Basque design internationally.
But we know there is much more potential here, and so we invite you once again to dust off your best projects from the last two years and submit them to this call to go for the top. We’re counting on you!
WHO CAN TAKE PART
Professionals, studios and companies that are members of EIDE and DIGA, and therefore those who work professionally in design or have integrated it as a strategic tool for innovation and competitiveness. The categories in which projects can be submitted correspond to those established by EIDE for classifying its professionals and companies:
- Industrial design / product design
- Graphic / digital design
- Spatial Design
- Strategy / service design
All projects selected must have been publicly presented or produced within two years of the call (between July 2024 and September 2026). Projects that will be presented or launched in 2026 may also be selected.
TIMETABLE
The project selection process will follow this timetable:
- Opening of the call: 22 June 2026
- Project submission deadline: 25 September 2026
- Selection of ‘OUR BEST DESIGN’ projects: 5th–6th October 2026
Selected projects wishing to be submitted as finalists for the iF DESIGN AWARD 2027 must register on the my iF platform and upload the relevant documentation by 4 November 2026.
